The Personhood Amendment Wants Your Church to Help Protect Babies!
People of faith have been the engine of every moral reform movement in our country. The Church played a pivotal role in the fight to abolish the institution of slavery, the civil rights movement, and the preservation of the traditional family.
Now the Christian Body must unite and act boldly for the child in the womb.
The 2010 Personhood Amendment needs men and women of faith to promote the culture of life in our churches by organizing signature gathering events and prayer teams. We need to reach out to churches so that we may educate and advocate for the preborn child.
Personhood is a Spiritual Battle
The secular world and their false gods have no reason to protect the preborn child. However, with the power of God's promises, and the loving support of His people, all of the lies and scare tactics used by the secular world will be defeated. God's word is clear. The only real question is; will we be faithful? "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10, NIV) There are a number of resources available for you to use in your churches. One is a letter by the Alliance Defense Fund, a national Christian law firm, assuring pastors of the legality of working on a constitutional amendment vis-a-vis their non-profit status. Another is a Church Bulletin that explains how you can get your church involved. Yet another is a list of Frequently Asked Questions. And lastly there is a list of Talking Points. Please feel free to download these helpful materials, print them, and take them to your pastor to distribute at church.
The most important aspect of our outreach to the churches is 1) to have God's people praying for the preborn child and for this campaign, and 2) to have God's people sign the petition which will allow the Personhood Amendment to be put on the November 2010 ballot.
